Proctor Academy
Located in the small town of Andover, New Hampshire, Proctor's 2,500-acre campus is home to our community of 380 students and 100 faculty members. At the heart of Proctor's educational model lies supportive relationships between faculty and students. Most schools are either supportive or rigorous; Proctor is both. It is either the most rigorous of the supportive schools or the most supportive of the rigorous schools. By redefining academic rigor as the process through which students push themselves beyond their comfort zones, students and faculty learn just how important trust is to learning. Honors and advanced placement courses complement non-traditional classes and five term-long off-campus programs around the globe, allowing students and teachers to form relationships around shared interests. An integrated on-campus academic support program called Learning Skills serves as a lens through which all teachers approach learning with their students.
